Privacy Policy
Peargo ("we", "us") connects people for outdoor and adventure activities. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Peargo mobile app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address and profile photo, including when you sign in with Google.
- Event participation data: when you join an event, the details the organizer requests, which may include date of birth, national ID or passport number, emergency contact name and phone number, and details of a +1 guest.
- Content you create: events, images, messages, questions and answers, and reports.
- Device and diagnostic data: device type, operating system, push notification token and crash reports.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account and let you find, organize and join activities.
- To share the details required for an event with its organizer.
- To send reminders, updates and messages you have requested.
- To keep the service safe, handle reports and prevent abuse.
- To fix crashes and improve the app.
3. Who sees your data
The organizer of an event you join can see the details you submit for that event, including the identity and emergency contact information they request. Other users see only your public profile information. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run Peargo: Google (sign-in), Firebase (crash reporting and push notifications) and Amazon Web Services (image storage and hosting). They process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile settings. After deletion we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Peargo is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
10. Contact
